Western Gatekeeper
Be glad, people of Zion, rejoice in the LORD your God, for he has given you the autumn rains because he is faithful. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before. Joel, chapter 2, verse 23 (NIV)

FLEE FROM BABYLON: Part III
So laugh on Harlot Queen
You're reign of night you've nearly spent
He Who has demolished all your power
Is both Beginning and the End
Flee from Bablylon, O Children
The night has many doors
Seek the Lamb, He shall be found
Your life will now restore
Free from Babylon, O Children
She wields a gravely knife
And her purposes and plans are forged
To destroy the precious life
The price of freedom from her power
Has been purchased long ago
Jesus demolished the sinful hold of pride
And fulfilled the righteous Law
Chains are broken by His blood
And Kingdom Keys await
Know that darkness reins no more
He's defeated all Hell's gates
You're reign of night you've nearly spent
He Who has demolished all your power
Is both Beginning and the End
Flee from Bablylon, O Children
The night has many doors
Seek the Lamb, He shall be found
Your life will now restore
Free from Babylon, O Children
She wields a gravely knife
And her purposes and plans are forged
To destroy the precious life
The price of freedom from her power
Has been purchased long ago
Jesus demolished the sinful hold of pride
And fulfilled the righteous Law
Chains are broken by His blood
And Kingdom Keys await
Know that darkness reins no more
He's defeated all Hell's gates

Mo' Blues: The Sandman
Reviving a nearly lost art of creating "Blues" a peaceful people under the threat of "the Sandman" a manevolent creature bent on their destruction.
The World of "the Blues" originated in Monrovia, California in 1993, was introduced on stage that same year during the Christmas season and subsequently was produced for a few years in Glendale, CA.

Last Night's Dream
Once every so often a dream comes that may be symbolic of things in one's life.
Then, a dream may come that signifies things to come or yet which may be, perhaps a reflection or a warning. It may be that type of a dream that enveloped me last night.
In my dream the Director of the Orlando House of Prayer (OHOP), Carlos Sarmiento was praying for people, seeming as it was to be imparting to them boldness, gifts and inner strength.
Then as things continued, it started. Persecution. A young woman I had been speaking to in the dream was killed by officially sanctioned violence. I was not sure whether the threat came from inside our country or from without or was a combination of factors, but it did seem like it was violent persecution primarily aimed at Christians.
I have had many significant dreams, but none quite like this one.
One thing I do know is that we are not to fear persecution, but we should be prepared should it come to our nation.

Pavement (Breaking Up Is Hard)
As the winter has passed and
the shadows
begin to fade
A heart of tiffany glass
once filled with passion shatters
Nightmares escape as aloneness
Creeps onto the horizon
Holding onto your smiles and laughter
Not forgotten
Yet, they attempt to melt
Into the most of Christmas past
Candles drip as the moon
Ceases to shine
While the fairies and the leprechauns grieve
As their rocking horses bleed
On the angry pavement
the shadows
begin to fade
A heart of tiffany glass
once filled with passion shatters
Nightmares escape as aloneness
Creeps onto the horizon
Holding onto your smiles and laughter
Not forgotten
Yet, they attempt to melt
Into the most of Christmas past
Candles drip as the moon
Ceases to shine
While the fairies and the leprechauns grieve
As their rocking horses bleed
On the angry pavement

OCCUPY the Heart
It's amazingly simple, but most of us fail to do it. I know I do. Perhaps the sin after the first one of disobedience was laziness. Not literally, but I know it must be up there somewhere.
I don't often take to time to "get away" with myself, with God, and take to time to discern where I am, what I am feeling and what are my true intentions.
We need to to this, we all know it, but then what about the hours upon hours of Facebook we might miss-- but then we might miss a status update.
Giving God and ourselves just 15 minutes a day could do wonders. And there are different ways to do this-- from journaling to writing poetry to sing songs to listening to worship music to... and here's a novel concept-- reading scripture!
I'm not meaning to sound scathing or sarcastic-- forgive me if I do... I think I'm just acknowledging that I fall short.
My prayer is: Jesus, Occupy My Heart. Take me into Your Time and Timelessness of the Eternal Realm where I can be breathed upon by the Sacred Flame of Your Spirit.
Yes, I need much more time in the woods.
